If you are planning on coming and making/decorating something it may be an idea to please let us know so you’re not disappointed if all the materials have been used.

We’ll also have:

•  leaf mandelas  (patterns working with natural materials
• pebble painting
• a drumming demo
• making things from willow
• clay sculpting
• porcelain ginger bread shapes decorating

and lots of different activities around the fire (bread making/toasting etc)

As well as the usual – tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and other goodies.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear

Plenty of fun and games and goey things and dancing (and the children can join in too if they like. Free to existing friends of Blaen Bran members but non member children can join up for £2 (to become a child friend of Blaen Bran) which will last a year and include access to other children’s events happening in the coming year.
There will be a limit to the amount of places so it will be a case of first come first served. I’d also appreciate it if people are definitely coming to let me know so I can get enough icky silly stuff in 🙂 children must be accompanied and supervised at all times. Fancy dress and other fun things to be confirmed later.

BBCW have successfully applied to the Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme.
Our project will be put forward to a customer vote in Tesco stores during September and October 2017.

Voting will take place from Friday 1st September to Tuesday 31st October.
The project with the highest number of votes across your region will receive up to £4,000, the second placed project up to £2,000 and the third placed project £1,000.

Every summer, the Methodist chapel in The Square have a tea and cake afternoon between 2 and 4 each Saturday.

The money from this helps to support this lovely chapel that’s been the centre of the community for many years.
So if you’re up around for a stroll, please call in.
Everyone is welcome and if you are interested in the history of the area then there will more than likely be someone there who can help you.

For ‘teas in the Trees and Activities please’ on Sunday 13th August 2017,  Andy Maddock has kindly organised a woodland ‘treasure’ hunt similar to the style of Geocaching but just within the woodland.

The gist of it is to follow a map or use GPS to find orange buckets which will have picture key rings inside. You put the one you have into the bucket, take the new one and do the same at the next point. The rest will be explained on the day but thank you Andy for organising this!

A great way of getting to know our woodland and having fun at the same time .

For people who are ‘friends of Blaen Bran’ (current members) a lovely get together on Saturday 12th August 2017.

The next meteor shower is supposed to be happening – how great would it be if we have clear skies and we’re able to watch it from our beautiful woodland.
